At the end of the month, Mark will be jetting off to Costa Rica to meet his fellow travellers in the eco and adventure-tourism capital of Central America.
Over the course of 12 days the group will visit some of the most spectacular National Parks, home to hundreds of fascinating species.
Sailing down the Tortuguero canals is sure to be a highlight of the adventure, over 300 species of bird can be found here. Hopefully the sea turtles and crocodiles will also make an appearance!
We love getting hands on when we are on tour so the tortilla making lessons are right up our street, alongside visiting a former cacao growing plot where our guests will be able to taste raw cacao and of course plenty of the finished product, delicious Costa Rican chocolate.
Every adventure requires a little down time to rest & re-group, a visit to Arenal Volcano and the nearby Thermal Resort is sure to create a sense of relaxation whilst being immersed in the surrounding nature. There are five main springs of highly mineralized water that is heated underground by the Arenal Volcano's magma. Thousands of gallons of this perfect water naturally emanates every minute. You will find dozens of cascading waterfalls and warm pools along the riverbed, of varying temperatures and water flows.
No trip to Costa Rica is complete without a visit to its eclectic capital, San Jose. It is home to so much neoclassical grandeur which is just calling out to be uncovered.
We can't wait to see the pictures!
